Take advantage of the region’s only mobile mammography program today!

MAKNA is proud to announce that we have officially kicked off our MAKNA Mobile Breast Cancer Screening Programme. We would be scouting both rural and urban areas to improve access and affordability for women in West Malaysia to receive early detection screening tests for breast cancer.

Together, through empowerment, education and screening tests, we will ensure women with cancer are diagnosed in the earliest stages, when it is most curable. MAKNA Mobile Mammography Services are provided in our customized 40-foot mobile trailer that is fully equipped and specially designed for patient comfort, convenience, and privacy.

Examinations are conducted by experienced and licensed professionals. Our radiographers take the time to fully explain the procedure and answer any questions. Exam results are mailed within 14 days after the examination and records are maintained for annual comparisons. Education materials and breast self-exam teaching will also be offered at this screening.

Criteria for mammography:

• She is age 40 or older
• She is not pregnant or nursing
• She does not have breast implants
• She has not been treated previously for breast cancer
• She has not had a mammogram within the past 12 months
